Be emersed amongst a private penguin rookery getting an up close penguin experience you will remember for a life time. As we watch the sun go down and the penguins are returning you are served local wine and a ashgrove cheese box. With a maximum of 8 people you can be assured a very exclusive penguin experience, and there isn't a better way to do it than with wine and cheese.
During the spring and early summer you will see the penguins returning home after a long day fishing and see them feeding their hungry cute little chicks. We will have a chance to view a number of breeding boxes to view the birds incubating eggs and nesting together.
Fairy penguins can live up to 20 years of age, so we have had the chance to build up a close relationship with the birds.
This tour is ran on a private penguin rookery reserve which belongs to national parks and managed by Bicheno Penguin tours. So your support goes along way in managing the conservation of the rookery which has been in place since 1992
I've been a Penguin Ranger in the Rookery for over 15 years, so I have lots of stories to share throughout the night.
